Handmade brass and wooden products are made to last for generations — with a little care. These are the routines we recommend to our retail customers and end buyers.
Caring for Brass
Regular dusting
Dust with a soft, dry cotton cloth. Dust holds moisture and dulls polish over time, so a weekly wipe does more than any polish bottle.
Gentle washing
For pieces used with food or flowers, wash in mild soapy water, dry immediately and completely. Never put brass in a dishwasher.
Polishing
When tarnish appears, use a quality brass polish with a soft cloth, working in small circles. Lacquered brass should only be wiped — polishing removes the lacquer.
Caring for Wood
Keep it dry and stable
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, heaters and damp walls. Wood is natural and breathes with the seasons — stable conditions prevent cracks.
Feed the grain
Every 6–12 months, wipe unvarnished wooden pieces with a food-safe wood oil or natural wax, let it absorb, then buff. It refreshes colour and protects against drying.
Handle with clean, dry hands
Oils from skin build up on carved areas. A soft brush keeps detail work clean without scratching.
With these small habits, a handcrafted piece today becomes the heirloom of tomorrow — which is exactly how we build them.
